David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Re-opens

7/13/2021

In another sign that travel is slowly returning towards normalcy across “safari Africa”, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust resumed their 11am public visits on July 12th. Nairobi’s famous elephant orphanage has been closed to the public since the onset of the pandemic, and the announcement of its reopening is great news for city residents and visitors alike.

In keeping with safety protocols, advance bookings are necessary and the one-hour daily session is limited to a maximum of 100 visitors. Guests are to sanitize their hands and complete a temperature check on arrival, and masks are to be worn throughout the visit.
