Tawana is due to open in May 2024 and will form part of Natural Selection's portfolio of high-end lodges across northern Botswana, joining Jack's Camp, Tuludi and North Island Okavango.

Created together with Chief Tawana Moremi, the head of the Batawana tribe, this new camp is set in the shade of towering ebony trees on the banks of the Gomoti River in the iconic Moremi Game Reserve. Chief Tawana's forefathers were instrumental in conserving the wilderness of northern Botswana when, in 1963, his father and grandmother took the visionary step to set aside much of their ancestral hunting grounds to protect the wildlife and help establish the Reserve, which is now one of the most productive wildlife areas in Botswana.

Tawana will be created in luxurious safari-style, with eight expansive guest suites featuring over-bed air conditioning, a private living area, terrace, plunge pool, outdoor sala and uninterrupted views of the Gomoti River and surrounding game-rich grasslands. The main area will boast an elegant lounge, indoor and outdoor dining spaces, as well as a ibrary filled with reference works on the history of Moremi Game Reserve and the local Batawana. A walk-in wine cellar, wood-fire pizza oven and an open-air dining kgotla, all add to the Tawana culinary experience. For downtime Tawana will include an intimate spa facility offering a bespoke menu of facial and body treatments, and holistic wellness journeys.
