This gourmet adventure provides a unique hands-on opportunity to learn the art of producing delicacies in the wilderness. Annemarie Steenkamp, the Le Quartier Français Culinary Concierge, offers guests a selection of day-long culinary programs, all of which have been prepared under the expert guidance of Relais and Châteaux Grand Chef Margot Janse. The diverse list of programs includes: "Wine, Charcouterie and Chocolate" highlighting the Wineland's artisanal offerings; "South African Flavors," exposing guests to local tastes and textures, and "Dessert Me" celebrating sweet treats from across South Africa. "Back to Basics" teaches the fundamentals of making sourdough bread in a wood-burning oven, churning butter from cream and cheese-making. The "Lynx Experience" introduces guests to the wine making process at a working wine farm, guided by the proprietor. All programs include lunch.
