Explore Mana Pools National Park

A land of mesmerizing contrasts, Mana Pools National Park is a remarkable sight. Mana, meaning "four" in the Shona language, was a name chosen to symbolize the four ancient pools created by the mighty Zambezi River. This dramatic landscape remains so enchanting, so rich in natural value, that it has been enshrined as a World Heritage Site.  

Situated in the northern region of Zimbabwe, on the southern banks of the Zambezi River, Mana Pools National Park is a paradise for walking and canoeing safaris. Guests can expect to spot hippopotamus, crocodile, elephant and a broad array of aquatic birdlife, as well as abundant lion stalking plains game around the watering holes.

The park is dotted with acacia trees, shading its more than 12,000-strong elephant population in the dry season. Remote from human settlement, one will relish experiencing Mana Pool's high concentration of wildlife from Ruckomechi Camp and Tembo Plains.
