South Africa's Borders to Reopen October 1st

The long awaited news arrived earlier this week, ending a period of over six months of border lockdown. Details are still to be finalized, and residents from countries deemed “high risk” may be excluded at the outset; it is also unclear what (if any) testing requirements there will be for international arrivals into the country. Still, this is a major step in the resumption of travel to southern Africa, and we will provide further information as it becomes available.
